Mujeres Restauradas por Dios (MRD) gives each recipient a customized assessment to find out what their specific needs are before tailoring a wide array of services and collaborations to meet those needs and ensure a successful outcome.  MRD provides services that foster growth, development, and success by assisting with areas related to safety, physical and mental health as well as psychosocial and spiritual well-being. MRD accomplishes its mission by providing outreach, resources, referrals, advocacy, and follow up services. MRD strives to provide continued and compassionate care to clients and connect and maintain strong partnerships with referral agencies.

MRD collaborates with 73 associations including Feeding America , Careplus,Walmart 360 and working together between March 2020 -Oct2021  have given out 2 million pounds of food.

Working in collaboration with Careplus, MRD supplies food to a senior home

The Tampa Underground Network will provide in-kind services to cover the use of the space and some administrative costs that will allow MRD to accomplish its project’s goals.

Starting in August 2019, MRD in conjunction with USF, was funded by the National Science Foundation for the research study; “¿Estamos Bien?: Emotional Adaptation and Integration of Post-Hurricane Maria Puerto Rican Migrants”. The aim of this study is to assess how well Puerto Ricans have been able to adapt and integrate in our local area and to explore their emotional well-being and adaptation. USF and NSF’s financial support of $26,000 will cover in-house activities required to perform the first phase of this research project. MRD would be looking for USF-NSF’s support for this project by sharing information of data collected in the first phase of the research project that could be relevant for the adaptation of the initiative.
